Dr Annika Neubauer is Director at TA Europe and is based in our Essen office. She heads the Technical Due Diligence team of our Real Estate business unit and has power of attorney. Annika’s expertise and experience include managing and executing Technical Due Diligence, Portfolio Due Diligence, Project Management and Sustainable Construction.
Annika started her career at ETH Zurich where she has worked as a teaching assistant and researcher in the field of sustainable construction. For her PhD thesis on the topic “The Financial Effect of Sustainability,” she has worked with several Commercial Property Investors in Switzerland like UBS, Credit Suisse, Swisslife or Züricher Kantonalbank. In addition to that, she published several scientific papers which have been published in renowned real estate journals.
Before joining TA Europe in 2018, Annika has worked as Principal Consultant at JLL Dusseldorf where she was part of the PDS (Project Development Services) team. In addition to her role as a sustainability specialist, Annika took over responsibility for the due diligence process of various assets and portfolios with up to 70 properties.
Within the last years, she achieved the title as LEED AP (Accredited Professional) and certified BREEAM in Use Accessor. She has advised and certified several buildings in Germany which have reached the highest sustainability standard possible.
Annika graduated from the Bauhaus University Weimar in Management of Construction, Real Estate and Infrastructure, which is a combined degree of civil engineering and economics. She spent parts of her studies at NTU, Nanyang Technical University Singapore and at Stanford University, USA. Annika is fluent in German and English.
