Forward-Looking Sustainable Logistics in Pfungstadt

In connection with the acquisition of a newly developed logistics centre in Pfungstadt, TA Europe supported AEW with comprehensive technical and ESG advisory services.

The new asset, offering approximately 10,680 sqm of logistics space, was subject to a detailed Technical Due Diligence covering construction quality, lifecycle costs, and long-term maintenance considerations. The assessment confirmed the property’s high technical and sustainability standards, including photovoltaic systems, air-to-water heat pumps, energy-efficient LED lighting, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

In parallel, TA Europe carried out a comprehensive ESG analysis based on AEW’s ESG framework and its own integrated methodology. The scope included an EU Taxonomy alignment review, a climate risk analysis, and a stranded-asset check to ensure asset resilience and compliance with current and future sustainability requirements. Following completion of the acquisition, TA Europe also performed a full review of the as-built documentation—providing AEW with a robust, forward-looking basis for a sustainable investment decision.
