Where Heritage Meets Modernity: LEED Platinum for Berlin’s Oberpostdirektion
To transform the former Oberpostdirektion Berlin-Charlottenburg—an architectural landmark of the 1920s—into a future-ready Grade A office asset, TA Europe delivered comprehensive project and cost management services.
As part of the revitalisation, the historic building was redeveloped into a high-quality office property meeting contemporary technical standards, with LEED Platinum defined as a central project objective. Achieving 86 points, the building attained LEED Platinum status, placing it among the highest-rated office assets in its category in Germany and making it the only property of this kind in Berlin.
Approximately 80% of the space is leased to technology companies, positioning the asset as a prime office location in the German capital. TA Europe’s scope included coordination of all project stakeholders, budget control, programme and schedule management, and the oversight of certification-related processes—ensuring that ambitious sustainability performance targets were delivered within defined cost and time parameters.
