TA Europe are pleased to announce that Lawrence Wainwright FRICS has joined their team as an Equity Partner and Managing Director. From the Berlin office, Lawrence will further develop and lead TA Europe’s real estate transaction advisory services across Europe, together with TA Europe’s partners and consultants based in Essen and Brussels.
Lawrence, 47, joins the company from ChandlerKBS, where he had a key role in building up their European TDD offering and lead it as a Partner and Head of Technical Due Diligence for over ten years, during which he managed various commissions, ranging from single assets to larger portfolios and covering the hotel, logistics, commercial office, retail, healthcare and residential sectors. As one of very few Chartered Building Surveyors based full-time in Germany for over 20 years, Lawrence has become a respected specialist and expert in not only TDD advice and expertise, but also in planned maintenance, technical risk and asset management, building pathology, fund monitoring, sustainability and construction defect analysis.
As part of an impressive track record, Lawrence has successfully delivered due diligence and technical transaction services to many renowned banks, sovereign wealth funds and other institutional investor clients on property deals across not only Germany, but also Austria, Switzerland, France, The Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic and Spain. These transactions have included a wide range of commercial properties, from stand-alone care homes to a number of Frankfurt skyscraper towers, as well as five-star resort hotels in Portugal, HQ offices in Switzerland or pan-European portfolios of 40+ retail properties.
