This year’s summer team event took us to Munich and Bad Tölz in Bavaria.
The teams from Essen, Düsseldorf, Berlin, Brussels and Madrid travelled to and met at Munich airport and made the journey together to our team hotel in Bad Tölz, where we were united with the Munich team.
Once settled, we started with a team meeting, followed by workshops with various different topics. For this purpose, we formed groups and split up to work separately either in the city or in the hotel.
To finish off the day, we enjoyed a BBQ in the evening at an idyllic restaurant in the mountains. In a cosy cabin in the middle of nowhere, we could enjoy the culinary highlights of the Bavarian culture and let the day pass by.
The next day we began our rafting tour on the river Isar in bright sunshine and with temperatures reaching almost 30 degrees. Spread out on three boats, each with a captain, we went on the wild water ride, death-defying. Together we mastered the biggest challenges of the river. Despite dangers such as snakes, numerous tree branches and trunks we all survived the trip without any injuries. To regain our strength, we had delicious Bavarian white sausage and pretzel with a beautiful view of the River Isar.
At the end of this challenging day, we travelled back to Munich, where we presented our results of the workshops from the previous day. We gathered lots of ideas and discussed the different topics in detail, planning and creating follow up tasks. In the evening we ate at the “Paulaner Garden” and let the day end in a relaxed atmosphere with delicious food and drink.
The following morning, we said goodbye to each other, and the teams from our different office locations travelled back home. Once again, the team enjoyed getting together and welcoming new team members who have joined in recent months in a relaxed and fun setting.
Below some pictures showing how much fun we had at this two-day event in southern Germany.
