Munich, 25 June 2020 – The 5km section of the A7.2 between Grossenrode and Northeim West has been re-opened to traffic recently after successful revamping. As Lenders Technical Advisor (LTA), TA Europe works closely with VINCI Concessions and Eurovia on the monitoring activities of the construction of the project and systematically reports to the Lenders in order to ensure that the financial institutions involved in this project have full transparency regarding the current construction progress.
“The aim of this whole project is to make the existing highway a much safer one, ensuring the highest quality standards and sustainability for the upcoming decades”, says Sebastian Frohwann, partner at TA Europe. “Our service is specifically designed to give Lenders a clear overview on the current project progress and potential technical challenges the Consortium is currently facing. To meet their requirements, we have developed a software plug-in tool allowing to reflect the progress of the construction works on a digital platform. This enables us to document where we stand at every single metre of this highway. Together with similar tools, we can analyse the progress of the works, possible risks and associated delays on a daily basis. Lenders also profit from various analyses in a short period of time.”
The revamping of this section is part of the V- Modell PPP A7 Highway aiming to widen, operate and maintain a 29.2km section between Goslar and Seesen in the region of Lower Saxony under a 30-year PPP contract. This specific section was technically demanding and included replacing one side of an old two-lane highway by a three-lane highway side with an emergency lane. The six structures that crossed the highway, including the underpass of the B 241 and the Northeim-Ottbergen railway line, were renewed on one side, and the Northeim West junction on the Hanover directional road was newly built.
