1. What does your typical working day look like?
Due to the corona pandemic, I have a fairly orderly daily working routine. Working from home has increased a lot, and currently I am in our Berlin office twice a week. Sometimes it would be great to see my colleagues more often as it is always fun with them but we still stay in good contact and can always count on each other, which is great.
Normally no two working days are exactly the same. I work on different projects simultaneously and provide support for teams all over Germany. I like the team spirit and I am impressed by the knowledge of all of our team members. As someone who has changed her career focus recently, I benefit from the knowledge of colleagues, which I absorb, and learn new things every day. This is everything I could wish for as I really love acquiring new skills.
2. What do you like most about your job?
What I like most is that I felt at home at TA Europe on my first working day. The work environment is great. Everyone I met so far is very open-minded and caring. I am surrounded by an amazing team and have a management that gives me the opportunity to show my best side. They literally give you the wings to fly – something that not every firm dares to do. As this is my first full-time job and I am still young, this is something very important to me as I want to develop myself further in the best possible way. TA Europe offered me this opportunity from the very beginning.
3. What do you consider unique about TA Europe and its culture?
The unique thing at TA Europe, from my point of view, is the fact that there is a lot of support for career progression. Right from my first working day, everything was possible and no limits were set. I can challenge myself, and together we explore where my future in the company lies. I really appreciate the trust my colleagues and the management put in me.
4. What does it take to thrive at TA Europe?
What do you even need to be successful? I think everyone defines success differently. I think the most important thing it takes to thrive not only at TA Europe but in every other firm as well is to be authentic. In that way everyone knows what to expect from you and it is easier to find your place in the firm. If you are authentic, know yourself and your limits you will find your own way to success.
5. Which moment at TA Europe will you never forget?
The Head of our Berlin office is unique in many ways. Not only is he extremely professional, has profound knowledge and is charming, no, he also takes excellent care of his employees. In my entire life, no boss has brought me so many coffees to my workplace. Definitely appreciated but in the name of equality, it is now my turn to get some coffee for us. 😉
6. Could you imagine working at another office location or is Berlin the perfect place for you?
I would describe Berlin as my “homeland” as I was born and raised here. But even though most of my family members and friends live here I am not particularly attached to Berlin. I have always been quite a globetrotter and would love to work flexibly between different locations. I could definitely imagine relocating in the future.
7. What do you do when you are not working at TA Europe?
When I am not working at TA Europe, I spend my spare time with my partner and family. I also enjoy doing sports and can’t go a week without it. As a studied sinologist, I also spend parts of my leisure time keeping my language skills fresh. Otherwise, I really enjoy spending time in the nature. There is nothing better than a long walk in the forest to really relax.
8. What insider advice can you give to a someone who would like to work at TA Europe?
My advice to any new potential candidate is to be yourself and be confident in your ideas. It does not matter whether you are a specialist in field or a generalist, if you are diligent and do proper work, all doors are open to you in this firm.
