After a very enjoyable summer event in Berlin in June this year, I decided to stay and work from our TA Europe Berlin office for one week. TA Europe in Berlin focuses on international investors and lenders for transactions all over Europe, but also transactions and project management in the region.
I have always been very fascinated with the main capital as it has a lot to offer. It has a rich history and is one of the most diverse cities in Germany. A lot of creative types and artists have made Berlin their preferred location to live in and a large and growing technology startup scene has developed, new international expats are arriving daily to explore the opportunities the city has to offer.
The fact that TA Europe is offering its employees a flexible office location in Germany is not only a modern way of working but also very convenient in terms of organizing one’s own leisure time. Our Berlin office is in the heart of the most famous and elegant boulevard the ‘’Kürfürstendamm’’ also called ‘’Kudam’’. It is one of the best places in the city to go shopping and sit in cafés as it is lined with countless luxury boutiques, fashion stores, shops and restaurants.
During my stay, I had the time to get to know my colleagues a lot better and was able to work with them on a few projects. I was involved with new clients and experienced new ways of leading a TDD report based on the requirements of our clients. The office building is a shared office space with different companies and offers a lot of services such as using the conference rooms, free Wifi, free soft and hot drinks and some snacks.
Berlin is experiencing constant transformation but still offers a great and affordable public transport. Using the ‘’U-Bahn’’ is very pleasant and easy to understand to get around the city. It was definitely a great and fun experience for me and I will be trying to work from the Berlin office more regularly as I am seriously considering moving there in the future. I am very pleased with my company allowing me to work in the city of my choice.
