TA Europe enjoyed a continuous period of growth in 2018 with the opening of a new office in Munich, Düsseldorf and Madrid and a total of 8 new people joining the team.
We brought together the whole team from all locations for a series of company events which were a mixture of team building events, induction events and party events, including a two-day induction event in Essen, our two-day summer event in Berlin and to finish off the year, our Christmas party event in Düsseldorf.
Our international team enjoyed the time together, getting to know each other on a personal level and learning about each other’s cultures as well as skills and capabilities.
It becomes apparent that team events have a very positive effect on our team members when reading the feedback of our colleagues:

From my point of view, such events are very, very important and mean much more than just a fun afternoon or evening. I think it’s great to have the opportunity to meet colleagues in a different setting. This is especially important if you are usually not sitting in the same office and only keep contact by phone or Skype.
From each of these meetings, I also gained a professional “knowledge added value”. Be it that I now know that I can ask a colleague on a certain topic in which he or she has experiences that I did not know until now, or I have learned from concrete project and customer experiences that I can apply to my everyday work life.
Such meetings should never be seen as wasted working hours or money because they provide a way of sharing knowledge that is otherwise impossible and I’m already looking forward to the next event.”

“The Christmas party in Düsseldorf has so far been the best company Christmas party I have been at. A full programme with a great show at the Apollo Theatre, very good food, drink and company. We all came together again and also met the new people that had just started in the Munich and Berlin office. A lot of fun! Best company Xmas event ever.”
For 2019 all team members are invited to propose ideas for team events during the year. Already, ideas about sailing and living the laptop lifestyle for a week on a Greek island have been floating around. Just watch this space!
